Schools set weekend surplus sale

The Fayette County School System will sell surplus items to county residents and employees of the school system Saturday, Sept. 17, 8 a.m.-noon at the Fayette County Board of Education, 210 Stonewall Avenue West in Fayetteville.

Shoppers must show identification proving that they are residents of Fayette County or employees of the school system to purchase items. The sale is cash and carry only; no credit cards, checks or money orders accepted. Buyers must come prepared to immediately remove their purchases offsite.

Items available for purchase include tables, desks, stools, chairs, overhead projectors, cabinets, office furniture, and playground equipment.
