Founders Day coming in Oct.

The annual Tyrone Founders Day event is scheduled this year for Oct. 1-9. Here is what’s happening during that time.

Oct. 1: Founders Day kickoff, BBQ contest, Strongman Contest, Miss Tyrone Pageant, fishing rodeo, Vendors, band Kiser, gospel vocalist Franklin Washington, contests, art show.

Oct. 3: Jazz In The Park with Sandy Creek High School Jazz Band and concessions.

Oct. 4: One Worship Celebration hosted by Way Of Life Church and concessions.

Oct. 6: Carnival rides begin.

Oct. 7-8: Founders Day Festival, carnival rides, pro wrestling, demonstrations, Serenbe Playhouse, fireworks, parade, bands (Party At The Limit, The Sock Hops, The Cyclones and Nashville/American Idol star Bucky Covington).

Oct. 9: Carnival rides and vendors.
