Saturday, Sept. 17 marks the 12th annual celebration of Greekfest, in which parishioners of St. Christopher Hellenic Orthodox Church come together to prepare and present handmade Greek delicacies to the residents of the Southern Crescent in an evening that appeals to all the senses.

The public is treated to a night in old Athens, featuring appetizers such as Spanakopita and Tiropita as well as Greek grilled chicken, lamb, gyros and delicate pastries.

The evening includes a live Greek band, Endasi, and guests are invited to join in line dancing and kick up their heels.

Reserved seating is $60 for adults which includes adult beverages and all you can eat.

Call Tammy for tickets or sponsorship at 404-625-4663 or order online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/peachtree-citygreek-fest-tickets-24814828821.

The event will start with appetizers at 6 p.m. at the Dixie Wing Commemorative Air Force Hangar in Peachtree City.

All proceeds of the event and the silent auction will benefit the building fund of St. Christopher Hellenic Orthodox Church in Peachtree City, a parish within the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Atlanta and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.  It serves the southern Atlanta metropolitan areas of Clayton, Coweta, Fayette, Henry, Spalding and South Fulton counties.

Church services are offered in Greek and English, with the Lord’s Prayer being prayed in the languages of those present (normally English, Greek, Bulgarian, Romanian, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, and French).

The Very Rev. Fr. George Tsahakis, Chancellor serves as parish priest.
