Local law enforcement officers are helping out one of their own with a charity event scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10, in Fayetteville.
The Po Po Car Show is 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Fayette County Justice Center, 1 Center Drive. The event is billed to offer “cool cars, music, food and raffles.”
Spectator entry is free, and raffle tickets are $5 each. Vehicle entry in the car show is $25 and includes a raffle ticket (exact cash or checks only paid to FCPO).
All proceeds go to Fayette County deputy sheriff Toby Daly and family for his fight against metastatic melanoma (stage 4 cancer) treatment.
Register the day of the event at the gate. All show vehicles must arrive and be in place by 10 a.m.
Vehicles will be judged by people’s choice votes with one vote per person per category. Trophies will be awarded to first-place winners.
All judging will be completed by 2 p.m. and the raffle drawing will begin at 2:30.
The event is organized by the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers Fayetteville Chapter #174.
