Local author Kim Osborn Sullivan will discuss the process of writing two books with members of her family at event scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 1, at 5 p.m. at the Senoia Library.

In May, Highland Press published Sullivan’s first romantic suspense novel for adults. It’s called “Saucy Girl,” and she wrote it together with her cousin Annmarie Ortega.

The two women have very different literary backgrounds. Sullivan’s previous books have largely been for a young adult audience, while Ortega’s background is in erotica. The mismatch reportedly resulted in an unusual dynamic during the process of writing “Saucy Girl.”

Sullivan is no stranger to having a co-author. In 2013, Llewellyn Worldwide published a self-help book co-written by Sullivan and her aunt, the popular psychic advisor Louise Helene. The book, “I Saw Your Future and He’s Not It,” is an unconventional approach to love and relationship advice.

“The Sept. 1 presentation at the Senoia Library will be a funny and informative look at the special challenges of collaborating with family members,” according to a spokesperson.

The program is free and open to the public. Phone the library at 770-599-3537 to register. A book signing will follow the presentation.
