Marie Curran Hare, 80 years old, of Peachtree City, Ga. passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on August 8, 2016.
Marie was born and raised in Wilmington, Del. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Nellie McHugh Curran.
She was preceded in death by her son Daniel Gerard Hare and daughter Donna Marie Swanson; brother Francis Curran; and sisters Anne Curran, Joan Goralski, Dorothy Wardell and Suzanne Donovan.
Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years William Charles Hare; daughter Sharese and son-in law Mark Tynes; daughter-in-laws Lisa Hare, Allison R. Hare, Diana Hare and Debbie Hare; sons William Charles Hare II, Timothy Gerard Hare and Christopher Hare; grandchildren Daniel and Patrick Hare; Shane and Jennifer Savage; Kevin and Seth Swanson; Mathew and Beth Hare; Nicole and Joey Edwards; Alison and Sarah Hare; Abigail and Larry Johnson; Gina, Josh, Steven, Ryan, Autumn, Daniel Rush and Julianna Nicole Hare; great-grandchildren Liam Jack Savage; Kelsey and Jordan Hare; Owen and Riley Johnson; Lucy and Maggie Edwards; and Anna Hare.
She is also survived by siblings Anthony Curran, Marvin and Peggy Moos, Elizabeth Conner, and Rose Ewing. There are many more nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Our mother/grandmother was one of the most understanding, kind, intelligent, funny, and memorable persons we have ever known. She was beautiful on the outside, but absolutely radiant on the inside. She will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered through her wonderful, charming stories. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
A funeral service was held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City. Interment followed at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City. The family received friends Thursday, August 11 between 2 and 4 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City Chapel.
