Nancy Slaton Lassiter, 76, passed away on July 28, 2016 in Calhoun, Ga.
Nancy was born January 21, 1940 in Tyrone, Ga. to her parents, Jessie and Herman Slaton. She married Robert Lassiter on August 10, 1959. A lifetime resident of Fayette County, as her health declined, she moved from Fayetteville to Calhoun to be near her daughter and son-in-law. Nancy worked for the Fayette County Board of Education with fond memories of her years as a school bus driver.
She is preceded in death by husband, Robert Lassiter, Jr. son, Randy Lassiter, and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Rex Thompson; her grandson, Zane Lassiter and great-grandchildren, Robert, Savannah, Abigail and Emma Thompson.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City, Ga., with Dr. J. W. Wallis officiating.
