Two local students were recognized by Georgia State University’s College of Education & Human Development during its annual Honors Day ceremony.

Chintan Patel of Peachtree City received the Bradford and Patricia Ferrer Endowed Scholarship in Middle Level Education. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to honor a student majoring and excelling in middle childhood education, with a focus on teacher preparation.

Shannon Curry of Fayetteville received the Outstanding Career and Technical Specializations Teacher Education Student Award.
