Robert J. Burch Elementary School recently hosted its annual “Burch Bear Tracks” race to raise awareness, as well as funds, for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Linda Barkoot and Amanda Nails, Burch teachers and race coordinators, were pleased to present a check to JDRF representative April Case.

The annual race raises funds for Burch’s physical education department as well as JDRF. Burch believes that the race helps Burch Bears as well as all of the children who will benefit from the work done through JDRF.

Burch Race coordinators would like to thank all of the sponsors for helping make this event possible, as well as all of the local runners who participated in the run. Top sponsors for the race included Women’s Medical Center of Tyrone and Tokyo Express of Carrollton.
