This photo was taken the morning of April 20. According to the photographer, who works in Peachtree City, the alligator makes his home in Flat Creek adjacent to Hwy. 74 and “seems to make an appearance around 10:30-11:30 a.m. daily to get some sun.”
The photographer spotted this local resident while taking pictures for the city’s website and the police department’s Facebook page.
“People used to fish in this area, but I haven’t seen anyone in quite a while,” he said. “Maybe there’s a reason.”
