Fayette County Public Library is hosting a free chamber music concert with the Peachtree Chamber Players Thursday, May 5, at 7 p.m.
The public is invited, and light refreshments will be available free of charge, courtesy of the Friends of the Fayette County Public Library.
Peachtree Chamber Players is a group of musical friends, formed last year out of the desire for opportunities to play and perform together in the Southern Crescent region of metro Atlanta. The group consists of Anthony Buzzard (oboe), LuAnn Latzanich (piano), Laurie Searle (clarinet), Terri Ingram (French horn), Tamara Grizzle (flute), and Michael Maxwell (bassoon).
Titled “A Spring Sampler of Chamber Music,” the concert promises selections from the classical, romantic, and contemporary periods, showcasing the work of Beethoven and other composers. “When you listen to chamber music,” says oboe player Anthony Buzzard, “you are sitting in on an intimate conversation between musicians, enjoying one another’s talents.”
The Fayette County Public Library is located behind the Fayette County administrative complex in downtown Fayetteville, at the southwest corner of Highways 85 and 54. For additional information, contact the library at 770-461-8841.
