A 21-year-old student attending the seminary at Peachtree Baptist Church near Senoia is still unaccounted for after being reported missing on March 23. Investigators believe he voluntarily left the area and is likely participating in Spring Break activities in Florida.
Seth Robert Clifton was initially reported missing on March 23 by the pastor of Peachtree Baptist Church near Senoia. Clifton is currently enrolled in the church’s seminary.
Coweta County Sheriff’s Lt. John Kennedy said Clifton did not show up for classes on March 23, nor did he attend a mission trip planning session later in the day.
Kennedy on Wednesday said the whereabouts of Clifton is currently unknown, adding that there is a family dynamic that leads investigators to think that Clifton may have left on his own accord.
Kennedy said nothing has turned up leading investigators to believe foul play is involved.
Investigators at this point believe Clifton has essentially taken a sabbatical to go to Florida to participate in Spring Break activities, Kennedy said, noting that investigators have been able to use resources to substantiate the idea that Clifton is traveling.
Clifton’s family lives out of state in the Pennsylvania and West Virginia area, Kennedy said.
Clifton was driving a white 2002 Ford Escort ZX2.
Anyone with information to help determine Clifton’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office at 770-253-1502.
