GCA wins state JV championship

The junior varsity girls basketball team from Grace Christian Academy in Fayetteville won the Georgia Christian Athletic Association state championship Feb. 13 with a final score of 38-26 over Open Bible Christian School from Valdosta in the championship game.

Kelly Fourman, a freshman, led all scorers with 13 points and was the game’s Most Valuable Player.

Sophomore Gabrielle Scott scored 11 points and pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.

The state title capped off a perfect 15-0 season for the Lady Eagles.
