Fayette Senior Services hosted newly elected Fayetteville Mayor Edward Johnson Jan. 11 as he and city manager Ray Gibson visited with both members of the center and community at large at FSS’ Muffins with the Mayor program.
“The seniors of Fayetteville are an integral part of our community and we want them to be involved in decision-making processes,” said Mayor Johnson.
The participants of the program enjoyed coffee and muffins while hearing Johnson and Gibson discuss city updates and things to expect for Fayetteville’s future.
“I greatly enjoyed this program. I think that everyone should hear about this and take advantage in attending these types of discussions,” said FSS member Joy Risher. “Everyone should understand and be notified about the complexity of the county and we appreciate Mayor Johnson and Mr. Gibson speaking and sharing with us about our community. They were both very informative, interested, and excited about Fayetteville.”
