Greene is new pastor at Word of God Lutheran

Pastor Jeffray Greene has recently arrived in Peachtree City to begin serving as pastor at Word of God Lutheran Church.

Greene moved here from Rantoul, Ill., where he served at American Lutheran Church for the past 11 years.  

He formerly served congregations in California and Arizona.

Greene holds a dual bachelor’s degree from California State University, a master’s of divinity degree from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in church administration from Trinity Seminary in Newburg, Ind.

Greene served in the formation of the North American Lutheran Church on its constitution formation committee and currently serves on the court of adjudication and the North American Lutheran Seminary Board.

Greene and his wife have three grown children.

The congregation at Word of God Lutheran will welcome Greene and his wife on Sunday, Jan. 31, with a potluck lunch after the morning service.

Greene will be officially installed at Word of God Lutheran on Sunday, March 6, at 2 p.m.
