The Fayette County branch of the NAACP will host various 2016 MLK events Monday, Jan. 18. The community is invited to participate. This year’s event theme is “Many Voices, One Dream – Bridging the Gap.”

 

A pre-parade breakfast is scheduled for 9 a.m. and the parade lineup starts at 10. The parade begins at 11 in the Fayette County High School parking lot, going to Hood Avenue and Hwy. 85, then Hwy. 54 and back to where it started.

 

The commemorative program is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Sams Auditorium, 205 LaFayette Drive in Fayetteville. The program is free and the public is invited to attend.
