Murl (Buddy) Glenn Frost of Fayetteville, Ga., went home November 29, 2015 to be with his Lord. He was born May 4, 1945 to Murl and Bernice Frost in Sebring, Fla.

As a military family, he lived all over Europe, but always called Kentucky and Alabama his childhood home states. He graduated from Dreux American High School in France and came back to the states to continue his education at Auburn University. He began his life long career in telephone in Montgomery, Ala. and continued with several communications companies. In 1995, he formed Data Comp Systems and remained actively involved in its operations until his death. Buddy joined the Army in 1965 as a signal officer, later graduated from flight school at Fort Rucker, Ala., and flew until 1991. He retired from the Army at the age of 60 in 2005. In 2014, Buddy was diagnosed with ALS. He spent some of his best days surrounded by amazing friends, family, and grandchildren.

Buddy is preceded in death by his mother Bernice Frost and daughter Mary Elizabeth Nolan.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years Malinda Pinion Frost, daughter Megan (Richard) Lavallie, Fayetteville, Ga., son Michael (Amy) Frost, O’Fallon, Mo., sister-in-law Nancy (Donald) Harry, Newnan, Ga., nephews Geoffery and Jason Newton, father Ret. Col. Murl Frost, San Antonio, Texas, and sisters Toby Musser, Reston, Va. and Pat Beckham, Lodi, Calif. He was pops to his grandchildren Katie Vaughn, Joseph and Ethan Lavallie, and Levi and Alden Frost.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 3, 2015, 11 a.m., at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Minister Paul Leslie officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge, Ga. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 2, 2015, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
