Two students representing Starr’s Mill High School Panther Pride Marching Band will have the honor of marching with The Macy’s Great American Marching Band in the 89th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Nov. 27.

Adam Warner, a junior percussionist, will be marching for the second year with the drum line. Ryan Bohdan, also a junior, will be marching baritone.

Honoring America’s finest high school musicians, this band will be comprised of select students that audition from each of the 50 states. The musicians are under the direction of Auburn University’s Dr. Richard Good and assistant director Barry Houser from the University of Illinois.

Stepping off Central Park, the band will be cheered by the three million spectators lining the parade route. They will perform at Macy’s Herald Square for celebrity hosts, a grandstand audience, and more than 50 million TV viewers watching live on NBC-TV.
