Due to recent inquiries from local citizens, the three candidates for the City Council Post 4 position in Senoia will be meeting for a political forum Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. in the Municipal Court at 505 Howard Road in Senoia.
The moderator for the evening will be local resident Tray Baggarly.
The candidates for the Post 4 Council seat are Doris Chappell, Bobby Graham (incumbent), and Don Rehman.
Maurice Grover, current Council member for Post 3, is running unopposed.
The City election is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 3.
The Senoia Optimist Club is the sponsor for the 27 forum. The club, chartered in 1985, is a local civic organization that serves youth and the community. It is not affiliated with any political party or candidate, and it is not involved with the questions or topics developed for this forum.
Among the purposes associated with all of the clubs worldwide that are part of Optimist International is the following: “To promote an active interest in good government and civic affairs.”
Citizens of Senoia are encouraged to attend the forum in an effort to better understand each candidate’s position on various issues affecting the city. Seating will be limited.
