Traffic updates in Peachtree City

Peachtree City officials this week released updated information on some local construction projects that could affect traffic.

Construction was to start Sept. 14 on Hwy. 54 West at Line Creek. Barrels are in place, and the demolition and grading has begun for the Continuous Green-T intersection at that location. This work will be done between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to avoid the heaviest traffic times. Once underway, milling and paving work may also be done at night after the high-traffic times. Expect some delays during this project, which will be completed by February 2016, and drive with care when workers are present.

A developer is installing sewer lines along the MacDuff Parkway right-of-way. Sections of path may have to close temporarily during this project, which should be completed by the end of September (depending on weather). There should be no additional impact to traffic this week. Stay out of construction zones.
