Starr’s Mill High School seniors Olivia Phillips, Emily Herrmann, and Sydney Mayson were selected Aug. 8 as members of Georgia’s All-State Cheer Team.

After being nominated by their coach Mandy Ratliff, each of the girls submitted applications which included an essay, GPA, and accolades at Starr’s Mill High School.

Forty cheerleaders were selected from 134 around the state. Each of these 40 cheerleaders competed on the mat and participated in an individual interview which led to the selection of 16 All-State Team members.

Each All-State Cheerleader received a State Letterman patch, All-State Plague, and scholarship funds. The winner and runner-up will be announced at the State Competition this fall.
