Eva L. Brown, of Fayetteville, passed away on August 10, 2015 at the age of 94.

A graveside service was held at Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens on Monday, August 17, 2015.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015, at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church, in Lake City, at 2 p.m. The family will be accepting friends for reception and visitation following the service. Dr. Rick Long will be officiating the services.

Eva was the middle child of five children born to Lucile and Henry Love. She grew up in Douglas, Ga. She later graduated from Georgia State College for Women and became a well-loved teacher. In 1942, she married the love of her life, William (Bill) Randolph Brown. They had four children and spent most of their married life in Athens and Forest Park, Ga.

Eva was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill; son, Billy; daughter, Margaret; brothers, Willard Love and Olin Love; sister, Ruth Duke.

She is survived by her daughters, Beth L. Jones and husband, Jack, Eva C. Hoff and husband, Lou; grandson, Adam Ledford and wife, Julie; great granddaughter, Elle; brother, Arthur Love and wife, Ruby; sisters-in-law, Nellie Love and Commie Love; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

If so desired, flowers are welcome or donations may be made to either Jones Memorial UMC or Fayetteville First UMC.
