Mr. James F. McCaughey Jr. 62, Peachtree City, Ga. passed August 5,2015 from cancer.

Jim was born in Lowell, Ma. and was a 1970 Lowell HS graduate. After graduation he began a retail management career that included Thom McAn, Endicott- Johnson,and Montgomery Ward. Later years saw him building his business, R & L Property in Fayette County Ga. and Florida, and at Zodiac Services Americus.

Jim is survived by his wife, Debra Wyrwicz McCaughey, twins Lara Katherine and Ryan James McCaughey of Peachtree City, Ga.; close cousins Donna Nelson of Chelmsford, Mass. and Martha Gale and husband Peter of Hampton Beach, N.H. and The Villages, Fla.; cousins, in-laws, nieces, godchildren, and life-long friends. Jim was a loving family man who carried himself with spiritual dignity.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents James F. McCaughey Sr. and Esther Hurley McCaughey of Lowell, Mass. and Merrimack, N.H., beloved aunt Bessie McAloon, cousin Mark McCaffrey, and pet “Bucky.”

Jim felt blessed to have the love and respect of family, friends, co-workers and church. His strength taught those that knew him a great lesson about humility and love. “Boston Jim” will remain and be remembered as an avid New England sports fan.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lowell, Mass. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to continue support of Jim’s  stewardship: St. Vincent dePaul at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 101 Walt Banks Rd, Peachtree City Ga. 30269.
