Byron Stephen Gable, 76, of Fayetteville

Mr. Byron Stephen “Steve” Gable, 76, of Fayetteville, Ga., died July 18, 2015.  

Steve was born and raised in Carrollton and then graduated in 1957 from Southwest High School.  He retired after 34 years with the State of Georgia DOT.  He was a member of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church and Senoia Masonic Lodge #82. Steve was always there to help with anything anyone needed.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Judy Gable, of Fayetteville; son Jeff & Amy Gable of Sharpsburg; daughter Sharon Gable of Fayetteville; grandchildren Brianna and Brayden; sister Joan & Eddie Sudduth of Carrollton, and his five beloved dogs.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church.  Mr. Gable will lie in state from 9 to 10 a.m.  Dr. David Campbell will officiate. Burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park.  The family received friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
