Notable students and graduates

Angel Jones of Fayetteville has been named to the President’s List at Stephen F. Austin State University. She is studying elementary education.

Hayes Bloomsmith, a 2015 Starr’s Mill High graduate, is among this year’s winners in the National Merit Scholarship program. He received a college-sponsored scholarship from Auburn University and plans to major in chemical engineering.

Shane O’Brien of Peachtree City was named to the Dean’s List at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He studies computer & systems engineering.

Recently named Furman University Scholars include Peachtree City resident Ashlyn Rebel and Fayetteville residents Charles Austin, Zack Carter, Mason Mahaffey, Connor Mahlbacher and Phillip Stephens. All are students at Landmark Christian School.
