“Locked Away” is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1-2 p.m. at Fayette Senior Services’ Peachtree City location, The Gathering Place, 203 McIntosh Trail.

The history of the American Civil War prison camps and how both the Union and the Confederacy operated theirs is intriguing. Jim Scott will share the stories of over 409,000 soldiers captured during the war and how both sides dealt with prisoners throughout. Lacking means for dealing with large numbers of captured prisoners early in the war, learn how both developed their tactics from the beginning to end.

This program is free but pre-registration is required via 770-461-0813 or [email protected] (include name, phone number and event title). FSS members and non-members welcome. For more information about Fayette Senior Services, visit www.fayss.org.
