The Newnan-Coweta Chamber recently launched its Summer Internship Program, and 11 young people will be gaining valuable work experience while assisting with a variety of Chamber projects.
The interns selected for this year’s program include Sydney Barron, Kristal Boyd, Taylor Campbell, Morgan Cawthorne, Tamara Gann, Jasmine Geter, Leah Griffin, Micayla Hersey, Kathryn Queener, Hannah Ruby and Marcus Sprague.
Most of the youth are college age, and their majors range from marketing and journalism to computers, history, international business and nursing. They will be assisting the Chamber with social media projects, photography archiving and storage, and updating of Chamber records, among other tasks.
“We’re so pleased with the great group of interns we have working with us this summer,” said Chamber President and CEO Candace Boothby. “Internships are an important way we believe the Chamber can provide real-world experience to these young people while also allowing them to work on projects that will directly benefit our members.”
