Southern Ground Amphitheater in Fayetteville will host an evening of R&B vintage sound featuring The Four Tops Saturday, July 11.

As one of the pioneers of the original Motown sound, The Four Tops helped define the soundtrack of a generation. Backed by a 12-piece powerhouse band, the evening will come alive to such mega-classics as “Sugar Pie Honey Bunch,” “Baby I Need Your Loving,” “Ain’t No Woman (Like The One I’ve Got)” and “Reach Out, I’ll Be There.”

Opening for The Four Tops is Atlanta-based group Soulhound.

The Four Tops were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 1990, with 24 Top-40 pop hits to their credit. Though they no longer have hits on record, the group continues to be a hit in concert, touring incessantly; a towering testament to the enduring legacy of the Motown Sound they helped shape and define.

The great Smokey Robinson once said about the band: “They were the best in my neighborhood in Detroit when I was growing up (and) the Four Tops will always be one of the biggest and the best groups ever. Their music is forever.”

A few tickets still remain for The Four Tops, and range from $25-$35.

The next show will be Blood, Sweat & Tears featuring Bo Bice scheduled for Saturday, July 25.

Tickets to all shows are available at SouthernGroundAmp.com and at the Historic Courthouse in Downtown Fayetteville.

The Southern Ground Amphitheater is owned by the Downtown Development Authority and managed by the Main Street Tourism Association of Fayetteville.
