Nuisance wildlife issues send many a frustrated land owner in search of a solution. An upcoming trapping workshop, presented by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division and the Georgia Trappers Association, will provide information on how to properly trap and remove nuisance wildlife from your land.
The trapping workshop is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Ocmulgee Public Fishing Area near Cochran. At this workshop, staff from the Wildlife Resources Division and members of the Georgia Trappers Association will provide instruction on trapping coyotes, beaver, raccoons and opossums.
This workshop is limited to 40 people and interested participants are required to register in advance. The minimum age for an attendee is age 12. A participation fee of $35 (payable only by VISA or MasterCard) is required of all participants and includes lunch.
To register for this workshop, call 770-784-3059. Prior to the workshop, you will receive an email with directions and additional information.
Not able to make it? More workshops are planned around the state, so additional opportunities will soon be available near you.
