Glenn C. Reed Jr, age 37 of Fayetteville, Ga. passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
Glenn was born March 4, 1978 in Gainesville, Ga. and was preceded in death by his grandparents Glenn James Reed and Lillie Glass Reed of Oakwood and J. K. Martin and Pearlee Miller Martin of Gainesville.
He graduated from East Hall High School and Gainesville Jr. College with an associates degree in criminal justice. He worked as Lumpkin County deputy and with the Gainesville Police Department before moving to Fayetteville and was office manager at Southern Traditions Florist.
Glenn is survived by his parents, Glenn Carthel Reed Sr. and Carolyn Martin Reed, brothers Billy Glenn Reed and his wife Patsy, Bobby Lee Reed and his wife Kim, sister, Carol Reed Wiley and her husband Rev. Gerry Wiley. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and his extended family at Southern Traditions.
Funeral services for Glenn were held Sunday, April 26 at Wards Funeral Home in Gainesville. The Rev. Charles Pirkle, The Rev. Josh Wiley and Chase Reed officiated. Interment followed at Memorial Park Cemetery.
A local memorial celebration of Glenn’s life will be held Saturday, May 2 at the Heritage Bank Conference Room, 440 North Jeff Davis Drive at 2 p.m.
