The Piedmont Newnan Hospital Auxiliary is looking for volunteer golf cart drivers to help transport visitors from the parking lot to the hospital or medical plaza.
Golf cart drivers volunteer in four-hour shifts and receive the following benefits;
- Free meal ($6)
- Employee discount for the Health and Fitness Club
- Free flu vaccine
- Spring and fall volunteer banquets
“This is one of the most important positions that our Auxiliary volunteers serve for our hospital community,” said Mary Ann Folk, Piedmont Newnan Hospital Auxiliary president. “Some of our visitors need assistance getting from their cars to the hospital and we rely on our golf cart drivers to ease this burden for them.”
Other volunteer duties include assisting patients and families in main reception areas such as the main lobby, surgical waiting areas and Piedmont Medical Plaza, and providing comfort measures to Inpatient and Emergency Department patients and family. Volunteers also staff The Poplar Shop, a gift shop inside the hospital, as well as the Mammogram Dressing Suite at The Summit. Auxiliary volunteers are placed in the hospital based on each volunteer’s individual interest and the needs of the hospital.
