PTCUMC offers class on baptism
Peachtree City United Methodist Church continues its Grow Deeper series with a session on Baptism this Saturday, April 18 from 9 a.m. – noon at the Robinson Road campus (225 Robinson Rd.) The focus will center on the history of baptism, why babies are baptized, and how individuals can grow in their experience and understanding of this foundational Christian action. LDS church members to beautify PTC
The LDS Church will sponsor a Community Day of Service — Beautify Peachtree City parks — on Saturday, April 18, beginning at 8 a.m. The group will meet at Booth Middle School. Come dressed to work. Instructions and supplies will be provided by the Peachtree City Parks and Recreation Department. Lunch will be provided afterwards at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 101 S. CDM plans prophetic service Sunday
Christ Discipleship Ministries (CDM), 114 W. Campbellton Street, Fairburn, will host a Prophet Chambers Prayer and Prophetic Service on Sunday evening, April 19, at 5 p.m. The speaker will be Prophet Timothy Frazier. COS invites kids to Lutheroad
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City invites children who will enter grades 1-6 in the fall to attend Lutheroad Day Camp July 6-10. A limited number of openings are still available. The theme is “A Love that Never Ends.” Staffed by counselors from Lutheran Outdoor Ministries/NovusWay, each day includes indoor and outdoor learning and recreational activities. Holy Trinity offers GriefShare
A spring/summer session of GriefShare will be offered at Holy Trinity Church at 101 Walt Banks Rd. in Peachtree City. GriefShare is a Christian grief support group for those who are grieving the death of a loved one. The meetings will be held on Wednesday evenings beginning April 29, from 7-9 p.m., in room #102 of the Faith Formation Building. Hopeful rededication set for May 2
The Hopeful Church rededication ceremony is set for Saturday, May 2, at 11 a.m. Restoration and cleanup started a early last year when a group of volunteers organized and began clearing the land, then unrecognizable, which was the old Hopeful Cemetery. The community, government officials and dignitaries have been invited to the rededication. Everyone is welcome. Revolutionary and Civil War re-enactors are scheduled to participate. The church and cemetery are located at Ga. Highway 92 North and New Hope Road.
National Day of Prayer event planned
The prayer team at Christ’s Church at Whitewater will lead in prayer for healing and blessing for the country on the National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 7, at noon, at the Gazebo on the square in Fayetteville. Several local ministers will lead in prayers for the President, Vice President, Congress, Supreme Court, Pentagon and military, White House and congressional staffs, government agencies, state and local governments and the churches in America.
