The Starr’s Mill track team traveled to Florida this past weekend to compete in the Disney High School Track and Field Showcase.
Both the boys and girls teams won first place.
National Silver Standard finishes included Ryan Spiecha in the shot put and Alexis Farley in the 100-meter hurdles, long jump and triple jump.
First-place seeded event finishes included Madeline Hammond (high jump); Cody Clements (high jump); Alexis Farley (long jump, triple jump); Ryan Spiecha (shot put); Taylor Brunskole (300-meter hurdles); and Josh Warren (1600- and 3200-meter runs).
