Nona Eileen Dawson, 90, of Fayetteville

Nona Eileen Dawson, 90, of Fayetteville, Ga. passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015.    

Mrs. Dawson grew up in Ellsworth, Wis.  Bill and Nona lovingly raised their five children in Wisconsin and Georgia.   She has been a long-time active member of St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church.  She graduated from River Falls High School, Class of “42,” and from Wisconsin State Teachers College.  

Nona was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.  

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, William D. Dawson, and their granddaughter, Michelle A. Pregler.  

She is survived by her children, Jane A. Pregler (James), Jessica J. Sweet (Larry), Charles A. Dawson (Debbie), William D. Dawson, Jr. (Chris), and Mary Aderhold (Danny); her grandchildren, Kevin and Melyssa, John and Kerrie, Lisa, Jeff, Joshua and Miranda, Justin, Michael, Casey, Corey, and Clayton and Rebecca; and several great-grandchildren.  

The Celebration of Life was Friday, March 13, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Philip Benizi Church, Jonesboro, Ga., with Father John Koziol as celebrant.  The family received friends on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, Ga.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Philip Benizi Church, 591 Flint River Road, Jonesboro, Ga.  30238.
