The McIntosh Chiefs ran their perfect season record to 23-0 with a 63-38 win over Forest Park Friday night at home.

Leading 27-20 at the half, the Chiefs came out and scored the first nine points of the third quarter, building a 50-26 lead by the end of the period.

Now 16-0 in Region 4-AAAAA with only two regular-season games to play, McIntosh will travel to Mundy’s Mill Tuesday night before hosting Northgate next Friday.

The overall region standings were shaken up a bit Friday when Stockbridge, looking to wrap up the top seed in the other subregion, was upset at home by Luella.

In Region 5-AAAA action, Fayette County spoiled Woodward’s homecoming with a 57-48 win while Sandy Creek fell 53-35 to Carrollton, who improved to 20-2 on the season.

On the girls’ side, McIntosh dropped to 15-7 after a 68-47 loss to Forest Park, and Carrollton downed Sandy Creek 51-25.
