Getting ready for kindergarten

Fayette County school officials are already preparing for the 2015-16 school year and are ready to register kindergarten students.

Kindergarten enrollment begins Jan. 20 and parents are urged to register their children as soon as possible so the correct number of teachers can be planned for each location.
To qualify for kindergarten in the next school year, children must turn 5 on or before Sept. 1, 2015.

Parents may register their kids at the Enrollment/Records Center located at 205 LaFayette Ave. in Fayetteville (behind Arby’s on Glynn Street).

Before going to the center, however, parents should complete an online registration form and gather the required documentation. To start the registration process, go to www.fcboe.org and click the “student registration” link on the right-hand side and follow the directions. After completing the online portion of the registration process, take the required documents to the Enrollment/Records Center to finish the enrollment.
