0Georgia Power continues to show its support for public education in Fayette County by making a gift of $1,000 to the Fayette County Education Foundation, a nonprofit that funds programs and initiatives that enhance learning opportunities for students and teachers of Fayette County Public Schools.
Georgia Power has been a yearly supporter of the Foundation since 2009.
To date, the company has donated $5,500 that has helped to fund various academic programs in schools across the county.
As a nonprofit organization, donations made to the Fayette County Education Foundation are tax deductible.
The Foundation’s charitable status can be verified through the U.S. Internal Revenue Service at www.irs.gov.
