Artzberger, Judith Ann Plank, 73, of Peachtree City, Ga., formally of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, in Emory Hospital, Atlanta, Ga.
She was born on November 11, 1940, in Wheeling, W.Va., daughter of the late Louis and Helen Krim Plank.
Judie was a 1958 Mount de Chantal graduate, attended the University of Cincinnati and completed her nursing education in 1976, graduating from the nursing program at WVNCC on May 4, 1976, the same day she became Mrs. John Artzberger.
Judie worked at OVMC as an operating room nurse until 1996, when she retired due to health issues.
Judie worked part time at the Oglebay Institute Mansion Museum after her husband’s death and then moved to Peachtree City, Ga., in 2005.
Judie was a past member and Deacon of Vance Memorial Presbyterian Church, a past member of Oglebay Institute Mansion Museums Committee, past member of the Women’s Club of Wheeling, and a past volunteer at Ohio Valley Medical Center and Wheeling Hospital.
After moving to Peachtree City, Judie became a member of Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, worked for Home Instead and was involved in Bible studies at church and belonged to Canasta and Bridge groups. In addition, she was a passionate animal lover and volunteered at Rescue Cats, Inc. of Fayetteville, Ga.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, John A. Artzberger, 2001.
She is survived by her children, Michael Busch and his wife, Diane, of North Canton, Ohio, David Busch and his wife, Judy, of Peachtree City, Ga, Kellie Mason and her husband, Gary, of Chesapeake Beach, Md., and Tim Busch and his wife, Elizabeth, of Alexandria, Va.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sarita and her husband Ryan Solida, Nathanael and his wife Trisha Busch, Rachel Busch of North Canton, Ohio, and Ellie Busch of Peachtree City, Ga., and her great-grandchildren, Kylan and Levi Solida and Macy, Presley and Leeland Busch.
Friends will be received on Sunday, September 7, 2014, from 7-9, at Vance Memorial Presbyterian Church, 905 National Road, Wheeling, W.Va., where services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2014, 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Dr. Charles D. LaPlaca officiating
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, W.Va..
