As part of its 10th anniversary celebration, Masterworks Chorale is stepping out of the concert hall and into the cabaret. In downtown Newnan, Masterworks will demonstrate its versatility by performing popular 20th century music, including a medley from “West Side Story,” pieces from “Anything Goes,” and more – much more.
The musical excellence you have enjoyed over the past decade is due in large part to artistic director Kathy Bizarth’s leadership and David Kinrade’s accompaniment. However, excellence also results from the talent and training of the Masterworks singers, many of whom teach music in the local schools. Masterworks is using the cabaret venue to showcase these individual talents. Expect the unexpected.
Furthermore, the women’s ensemble from Masterworks, who are traveling to Ayrshire, Scotland with the Centre Masterworks Youth Chorale, will be performing their program.
The concert is set for May 17 at 7 p.m. at the parish hall of First United Methodist Church. Admission is just $10.
