Debi Cziok, 62, of Peachtree City, Ga. passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at her home with her husband Joel by her side. She was born on March 11, 1952 in Minneapolis, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Cupka.
Debi is survived by her mother Alice Cupka, her loving husband of 37-years Joel Cziok, daughter Krista Cziok, sister Patricia Cupka, brother and sister-in-law Jeff and Marilyn Cupka, sister and brother-in-law Rebecca (Cupka) and Tony Fischer, brother Jonathon Cupka, brother-in-law Jerry Cziok, sister-in-law Carol Jane (Cziok) Brunette and numerous nieces and nephews.
Debi lived in Minneapolis, Minn., Anchorage, Alaska, and Peachtree City, Ga. She was an avid gardener and beekeeper, and an RN-BSN and Horticultural Therapist at Shepherd Center in Atlanta until 2011. Her artful sense and attention to detail is shown in her gardens at Shepherd Center, at her home, and the homes of others where she helped plant many beautiful gardens.
Debi traveled around the world and throughout the country. Her husband and daughter meant the world to her. Everyone who met Debi made a personal connection with her and she cherished all of them. Debi penned her name and would include the words of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, “Kind hearts are the gardens, Kind thoughts are the roots, Kind words are the flowers, Kind deeds are the fruits.” Debi positively impacted those around her, was loved by all, and will always be remembered.”
