Most high school juniors and seniors have decided what their probable careers will be after graduation, but for some the choice is based on perception and not reality.

Sandy Creek High is the only high school in the county that provides its juniors and seniors with an opportunity to learn inside knowledge about various careers of interest through a career fair that has been organized by the school’s counselors for the last 14 years.

The fair brings students together with professionals in various fields who can share valuable insight on the educational requirements, day-to-day tasks, starting salary and future job outlook for a particular career.

Approximately 50 different careers were represented at this year’s fair, including air traffic controller, registered nurse anesthetist, public relations practitioner, criminal investigator, special events planner, and athletic trainer.
