WOG’s Lenten services start tonight

St. Paul’s plans Lenten services
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will hold midweek Lenten services (no Communion) on March 12, March 19, March 26, April 2, and April  9 at  7 p.m. in the cafeteria. The church is at 700 Ardenlee Parkway in Peachtree City. For information, call 770-487-0339 or visit www.stpaulptc.org.

Dia De La Familia Health Fair coming up
On March 15 from 8 a.m. until noon Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 101 Walt Banks Road in Peachtree City will offer  free health screenings ranging from diabetes, cholesterol, breast and prostate cancer, HIV, vision,  pregnancy tests and much more. Medical personnel and translators will be on hand and there will be clowns and games for children.Those interested in having blood screening are asked to come on an empty stomach so that the testing will be accurate.  Everyone is welcome.  For more information, call 770-487-5352.

Mobile food pantry planned for March 20
 The next mobile food pantry held by the Real Life Center will be Thursday, March 20, at Grace Church in Fayetteville. Last month 159 families were served by the mobile food pantry. The center also operates stores in Tyrone and Fayetteville. The main location is at 220 Parkade Ct., Suite A, Peachtree City. For information, call 770-631-9334.

Coffee House Night is March 22 at COS
 Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church invites everyone to “Coffee House Night” Saturday, March 22, at 7:30 p.m. at the church. Free coffee, drinks, and desserts will be served. A wide variety of entertainment will offered, from handbell solos to stand-up comedy. The church is on the corner of Ga. Hwy. 54 and Peachtree Parkway; for more information, call 770-487-8717.

St. Gabriel plans weekly Fish Fry
St. Gabriel Catholic Church Knights of Columbus  Council 11458 will host its Annual Fish Fry on Fridays, March  14, 21 and 28, and  April 4 and 11 at the church. The first plate will be served at 5:30 p.m. All adult meals are $8 per plate; all child meals are $5 per plate. The menu will include Tilapia, both baked and fried options. ESL classes continue at Carriage Lane
Free ESL (English as a Second Language) classes for adults meet weekly through May 16 at Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, PCA,  in Peachtree City.  Students can join at any time.  Classes are held on Fridays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.  Childcare is provided. Prayer group meets at Summit
A community prayer group meets at The Summit Family Resource Center, 1373 Ga. Highway 92 S. Fayetteville, from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Thursday mornings.  This is an inter-denominational event. Everyone is invited. Call 770-460-3335 for more information.

Word of Life FMC offers relationship class
Word of Life Free Methodist Church in Fayetteville offers Relationships 101 classes each third Friday of the month from 7-9 p.m.  The church is at 405 Fayette Place, Fayetteville, behind the Dairy Queen in the Harvest Community Shopping Center, in front of the Wings and Things Restaurant.

 GriefShare sessions at Peachtree City United Methodist Church are open to anyone in the community grieving the loss of a friend or loved one,  and/or those who who need to connect with others going through the same journey.
