City, county offices to reopen tomorrow (Thurs.)

Local government offices will be getting back to business tomorrow (Thursday).

Fayette County and Fayetteville offices will open at 10 a.m. and Peachtree City offices will open at 10:30 a.m. Tyrone town offices will open for business at noon.

Meanwhile of course the Fayette County School System will remain closed for business with the knowledge that as of this afternoon some roads in the county remained slick. And while it wasn’t on the disaster level experienced elsewhere in metro Atlanta some students didn’t make it home until close to 7 p.m. as the massive snowfall accumulated quickly in the middle of the school day.

Some buses had slow routes home on icy roads, slipping on icy patches but no crashes were reported save for once instance when a bus was run into by another vehicle, officials said.
