Sandy Creek’s SkillsUSA team chalks up more wins

The victories keep mounting for Sandy Creek High’s SkillsUSA chapter.
At the latest competitive event, the Georgia SkillsUSA Champions Rally held at the Georgia National Fair in Perry, the chapter placed in four events and earned top state recognition.

Awards include first place in Career Pathway Poster Design, third place in Chapter Recruitment Banner Design, fourth place in Chapter T-shirt Design, and fourth place in Chapter Recruitment Display.
Points received for the victories in the event competitions added up to the chapter receiving the Reserve Superior Chapter Award, meaning it earned the second highest overall placements out of the more than 90 state chapters in attendance.

SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit organization of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. The organization helps students enrolled in career and technical education programs to excel by teaching employability skills such as communication, problem solving and leadership in conjunction with their trade, technical and service occupations skills.
