Sandy Creek 24, Carrollton 7: The Patriots (8-0-1, 6-0) remain unbeaten after winning this battle of the two top-ranked teams in the state in AAAA. Having clinched first place in the region, the Patriots close out the regular season with a Saturday game at Columbus.

McIntosh 37, Northgate 14: The Chiefs (7-2, 2-2) wrapped up second place in the subregion and will host a Region 4-AAAAA play-in game next Friday.

Holy Innocents’ 29, Landmark 28: The War Eagles (8-1, 4-1) lost for the first time this season and will host ELCA next Friday to determine playoff position coming out of Region 5-A.

Our Lady of Mercy 31, Darlington 28: The Bobcats (4-5, 3-2), still in the playoff hunt in Region 5-A, travel to Strong Rock next Friday to complete the regular season.

Shaw 17, Fayette County 7: The Tigers close out their season next Friday on the road against Alexander.
