Don Ledbetter to preach McDonough Road one-day revival Oct. 27
Evangelist Don Ledbetter will preach the One Day Revival at McDonough Road Baptist Church in Fayetteville on Sunday, Oct. 27.  
After pastoring four growing churches, Ledbetter entered full time vocational evangelism in 1984. He previously served at Liberty Baptist Church.
 “We are looking forward to hearing Don again,” said David L. Chancey, pastor. “Don preaches a no-nonsense message that is strong and biblical. Everybody needs a shot in the arm now and then, and One Day Revival can give us that spiritual boost.”

COS will host quartet for concert
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will host a unique concert on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. by “The Good Pennyworths.” The quartet, anchored in New York City, will be in the middle of a nine-state concert tour. Admission is free, but a free-will  donation is suggested.
The four singers accompany themselves on lutes and Gothic harp.
Although specializing in early music, the group also includes contemporary songs. The church is on the corner of Ga. Hwy. 54 and Peachtree Parkway.

Women’s empowerment session planned
Shekinah Glory Fellowship Center will host  God’s J.E.W.E.L.S. Women’s Empowerment Session on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. All ladies ages 16 and up are invited to attend. GOD’S J.E.W.E.L.S. (Joyful Excited Women Empowering Ladies Successfully) is an outreach ministry of Shekinah Glory Fellowship Center, 383 Fayette Place, Fayetteville. Community Servant weekend at COS will offer many activities
Christ our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will host its fifth annual Community Servant weekend Oct. 25-27. On  Friday , Oct. 25, the church will hold a blood drive in the fellowship hall from 3:30 – 8 p.m., Flu shots will be given in Room 214 at 6 p.m. for a cost of $25.99. Medicare and several insurance plans are accepted.
On Saturday, Oct. 26, three services will be offered.
A free Exchange Mart will be held in the parking lot from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Donations of children’s and adults’ clothing, furniture, small electronics and shoes will be accepted before 11 a.m. Visitors may take what they need and give what they don’t need.
Free drive-through paper and document shredding will be offered in the parking lot from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The shredding truck will be on site and there will be help with boxes. Baked With Love from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the parking lot will offer whole pies, cakes, breads, cookies, bars and candies for a free will offering. Donations will go toward COS’s participation in the Summer Sack Lunch program.

Pentecostals to hold Fall Festival in Senoia
The Greater Atlanta Pentecostals will host a Fall Festival Saturday, Oct. 26, from 4-8 p.m, featuring free food, games, prizes, a jump castle and candy. The event will be held at 6895 Ga. Hwy. 16 East in Senoia.

Inman UMC will host Trunk or Treat
Inman United Methodist Church will host a free Trunk or Treat night of fun and fellowship Saturday, Oct. 26, from 5:30-8 p.m. at the church, 151 Hillsbridge Rd. in Inman. The event will feature games, rides, popcorn, cotton candy and a meal (hot dogs, chili, coleslaw, chips and dessert) which will be served at 6:30 p.m. For more information and directions, call the church, 770-461-2123.
