Fayetteville police are searching for two men who robbed the employees of the Golden Chopstix restaurant in Fayetteville at gunpoint Oct. 3 and made off with an undetermined amount of cash.
Fayetteville Det. Mike Whitlow said two black males, one wearing a skull mask and the other wearing a blue hoodie pulled over his head, entered the restaurant through the back door at approximately 9:15 p.m. Thursday. Both men were carrying handguns, Whitlow said.
After failing to put the three employees in the walk-in cooler, the men held them at gunpoint while taking their wallets and robbing the store of an undetermined amount of cash, Whitlow said.
There was one customer in the restaurant at the time, though he stayed in the restroom during the robbery and had no contact with the suspects, Whitlow added.
The men left on foot, with a K-9 unit tracking them to the vacant lot adjacent to the nearby Dairy Queen where the trail ended, Whitlow said.
