Warren G. Wilkerson age 78, of New Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Fayetteville, Ga., passed away on September 20, 2013 at his home.
Warren was born on January 17, 1932, in Dandridge, Tenn., the son of the late R.C. and Rebecca Wilkerson. He was married to Mary Martin Wilkerson for 55 years until her death in April.
Warren served in the US Air Force and Reserves and worked at Delta Air Lines for 33 years in Knoxville, Atlanta, and Tampa. Warren was very active and enjoyed bowling, golf, and cards. He never met a stranger! He was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his children, Becky McQueen and Charles (Sheila) Wilkerson all of Fayetteville Ga., grandchildren, Amanda McQueen of Atlanta, Ga., Rachel McQueen, Jaclyn Wilkerson and Noah Wilkerson all of Fayetteville, Ga.; many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Food Pantry, 5901 Indiana Ave., New Port Richey, and Fla. 34652. Graveside interment service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Shady Grove Cemetery, Dandridge, Tenn. with Rev. Joey Manis and Mark Wilkerson officiating.
