Middle school fellowship starts at WOG
Wednesday, Sept. 18 is the kickoff night for middle school fellowship at Word of God Lutheran Church in Peachtree City.  Each Wednesday all sixth through eighth  graders are invited to meet at 6:30 p.m. for dinner, discussions on age appropriate topics, lessons, games, and singing. New Hope will host women’s gathering
Touching Hearts Ministries will present “Coming Alive:  A Gathering for Women,” Saturday, Sept. 28, from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.  at New Hope Baptist Church North, 551 New Hope Rd. Fayetteville. The event will feature guest speakers Martha Wilson, Robin Dixon, Kim Stanley, Toni Hebel and Daphne Williams. There is no charge, lunch will be provided, and registration is required. GriefShare starts Oct. 1 at FBCPTC
GriefShare is being offered at the First Baptist Church, Peachtree City,  starting Oct. 1.  This is a 13-week Christian grief recovery group for those who have lost loved ones.  Each session is self-contained, so one can begin attending at any time.  The  group will meet every Tuesday from 2  until 3:30 p.m. in room 504 at the FBCPTC, starting Oct. 1.  To pre-register or learn more about the program, contact either Ron or Carol Purvis at 770-502-9775.

White Oak barbecue coming up Oct. 5
The 30th Annual Fall Barbecue at White Oak Presbyterian Church will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Perennial favorites — barbecue plates, quarts of Brunswick stew, and pounds of barbecue — will be $8 each. Proceeds support White Oak’s foreign and local missionaries and missions. White Oak Presbyterian is in Coweta County at 2796 Gordon Rd., near the intersection of Ga. Hwy. 54, between Sharpsburg/Turin and Luthersville.
