Current Peachtree City Councilwoman Kim Learnard has announced she will seek reelection to her Post 3 seat this November.
In her announcement, Learnard said she is proud of how council has worked to address significant budget issues while also authorizing bond funding to “repair and restore facilities citywide.”
A 14-year resident, Learnard said she is proud of having a track record of meeting often with local residents, city staff and elected officials at the city, county and state level.
“This keeps me connected and builds good relationships; it has also brought forth a wealth of ideas,” Learnard said, urging any person or group to contact her for a meeting if they would like.
Learnard also touted her work on the Fayette College and Career Academy process, which will help high school students get a head start in career opportunities in various industries including film, aviation, healthcare and advanced manufacturing.
“This exciting public/private partnership promises to be a win for students, a win for businesses and a win for the entire community,” Learnard said.
Learnard said she will continue to conduct herself “in a positive and professional manner, worthy of the best city in the nation.” She added that she has enjoyed the opportunity to serve the public for the past four years.
